I hated New York City for a while. I didn’t like the smell, I hated the people, and I had a really bad experience at an airport. Even when I landed in NYC on June 20, I had an awful time getting a ride to the couch I was crashing on, and I texted my friend, “I f*cking hate this city” at 2 a.m. But after that inauspicious beginning, I visited the American Museum of Natural History, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Intrepid Sea, Air, and Space Museum, and Yankee Stadium from June 21-23, and all was well. I can’t wait to go back!
